Walmart is remembering thousands of bottles of a better sprays of aromatherapy of houses and gardens about a possible contamination with a mortal bacterium called Burkholderia Pseudomallei. The withdrawal follows four diseases in the US The homes of one of the patients.
In their announcement on the matter, the CDC said that a bottle of “Better Houses & Gardens Lavender & Mande and Manzanilla Essential Spray of Aromatherapy Room with precious stones” was found on October 6 in the house of a patient who became ill in July. Laboratory tests were performed, confirming the presence of Burkholderia Pseudomallei, the same bacteria behind the four diseases.
CDCs say that additional tests will be performed to determine if the bacterium found in the bottle has the same genetic fingerprint as the bacteria collected from the four patients. Before that, however, Walmart has already recalled all his best Homes & Gardens spray, including five other aromas that are sold under the same product line.
The US Consumer Product Commission has published the recovery notice, noting that the base is potential pollution with bacteria that can lead to an infection called Melioidosis.
